THE WELLBEING FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

The WellBeing Foundation, through the Kwara WellBeing Trust has established a scholarship scheme in the State. Exchange Programs are being established between tertiary institutions in Kwara State and reputable institutions internationally. The Foundation awards an annual HIV AIDS scholarship for an HIV AIDS orphans in conjunction with Child Care Trust. The Kwara WellBeing Trust assists students through the purchase and donation of examination entry forms.

Other Educational Interventions

•  Data gathering and analysis of primary and secondary educational institutions in Kwara State , towards development of effective capacity building strategy.

•  KWT sponsorship of children to French speaking competition in conjunction with Alliance Francaise, Ilorin (photograph)

•  The Foundation flagged off the Kwara State Girl-Child Education Campaign with UNICEF in 2004, and has since then undertaken intensive advocacy on of girl-child education throughout Kwara State , independently. (pics)

•  The Foundation supported the establishment of a daycare-creche facility at the University of Ilorin by National Association of Women Academics NAWACS, with the donation of educational toys and materials. (pics)

•  Donations of textbooks and educational materials continues to schools throughout all 16 Local Government Areas in Kwara State .

•  Financial Donation towards repair of roof at Kulende primary school.

•  Sponsoring of sports clubs in primary and secondary institutions.

•  Sponsoring of Drama Clubs in secondary and tertiary institutions.

•  Sponsoring of Debating Clubs in secondary institutions.

•  Sponsoring of University of Ilorin Law Students Moot Mock Trial Competition.

•  Advocacy to prevent illegal migration of students to foreign countries.

Future plans include formal and vocational skills acquisition at Wellbeing Resource Access Units and Flagship Service Centre.
